While the camogie action is beginning to wind down within Mayo there has been lots of great results and games recently. We also have teams playing in Galway Championships too! Read on for a round up of recent activity.
Our Junior Team are playing in the Galway 12 A Side Championship and recently beat Sarsfields in their first round match – a great start for our girls!
Our U14 Naomh Padraig team travelled to Claremorris for their final league game recently. Well done girls on a great team performance. For Claremorris’s first year fielding club teams there were some great performances, and it really bodes well for increasing competition in Mayo Camogie. The U14 players are all looking forward to the County Final which will be played the weekend of the 9th/10th October where they will meet Castlebar! They are also beginning their journey in the Galway Championship the same weekend – best of luck to them all.
Our U12 teams have finished all their league matches and have had a great season. They also played in the Tesco County Caman Festival recently and really enjoyed playing all the other clubs in a non-competitive blitz. Both teams are looking forward to participating in the U12 Shield County Final on Saturday 9th October next – a Westport derby and should be a great match.
