Our U10s had a great season this year thanks in no small part to their fantastic coaches. This year the U10s had four teams with 49 players at the age grade.
There were many matches throughout the season involving other clubs from around the county which all of the girls enjoyed.
To finish up this season 43 of the U10 players took part in an in-house mini blitz. All made possible by the help of 4 junior refs, 9 coaches and lots of supportive parents. It was a beautiful warm sunny evening and all players had loads of time on the ball. And a well-deserved 99 to top it all off!
Massive thanks to all the coaches for their committment to the players, to all the parents for bringing the girls to training and matches and to all the players for their enthusiasm for improving their skills, sportsmanship and fun!
Also thanks to all the older club members who helped out with training and refereeing throughout the year – Megan O’Malley, Heidi O’Malley, Katie Harmon & Orla Mulloy. They are all proving to be fantastic role models and inspiration for the younger players.
Thanks to Shonagh Lee, Molly Farrell & Luke Madigan for helping out with the blitz.
Thanks also to Louise in Berry Printers for kindly printing certificates for the players to mark the end of the season. The generosity of Berry Printers is much appreciated by the club.
Thanks again to McVann’s CarePlus Pharmacy for sponsoring the new match jerseys for the U10s. It was a great season!
